I would just like to say that the staff at the Arlington, TX location is great. They are truly fantastic and I am now proud to say I am a loyal Sun & Ski Sports customer. I had a bad experience at a small bike store previous to my visit at Sun & Ski, being a younger girl looking for her first road bike, and felt a little bullied. However, I went to your Arlington location and have never felt more comfortable. David was the person who sold me my bike. He was so knowledgeable and made me feel at ease about my purchase. Merritt, Tim, and Scott have not only been helping me take care of my bike, but making sure I have everything I need. Me being a rookie at this bike stuff, it is so important for me to feel comfortable with the people I am dealing with, and I am so comfortable with your friendly, welcoming staff. Since every trip to that location for my bike has been a great experience, I have continued to go there for my every triathlon need. Quickly, broke a spoke nipple hitting a bump hard on my road bike, Sunday night & had planned a longer ride on Monday. I am a newcomer to the road bike scene and I have been relying on the folks over at the Bay Area store to get me up to speed. I could not bring myself to make the investment in a new bike until I had a chance to see if it is something that I will enjoy. However, I have been over to the store to get the required apparel, helmet, bike rack, etc. The guys that I have worked with at the store have been very helpful. In fact, the day that I purchased my rack I was helped by one of the techs (I hate that I do not remember his name). I mentioned to him that I had my bike in the backseat of my car and I needed to get a rack that I could install quickly so that I could pick up my kids at daycare. He informed me that he was about to get off and if I wouldn’t mind waiting a few minutes, he would be happy to help. And HELP he did! He installed the entire thing without me even touching a part and I was grateful seeing that I was still dressed in my work attire.

I have had a chance to get out a few times to ride around the Clear lake area over the last few weeks and one of these occasions was yesterday, Sunday, June 27. I was out for a ride from League City to Alvin and back and about half way into my ride I got a flat. When I noticed that I had forgotten to pack my spare tube and CO2 cartridge, I started to get my phone out to call my wife for help. The next thing I noticed was a guy riding up next to me to see if I was okay. I told him I had a flat and that I was new to this road bike thing and I had forgotten my emergency kit. Well, he broke out his only spare tube and tire changing kit and offered it to me. I fumbled around for a second and he noticed quickly that I had no clue what I was doing, so he proceeded to change my tire for me and send me on my way with a handshake. I wanted to be able to repay him in someway so I asked him how I could get in touch with him and he said his name is Daniel and he works at the Bay Area Sun and Ski.

I just wanted to drop you a short note letting you know how great your Dallas (75 and Royal) store is doing. After checking at least four different stores around town my wife eventually (she wanted to give the business to one of the local bike shops in our neighborhood) went into Sun & Ski looking for an inexpensive road bike. From the time she walked in to Sun & Ski, everyone was super helpful. JD in the bike department was so helpful and patient my wife told me that was where she wanted to buy the bike. I went in two days later to look at it and after trying to figure out which bike my wife liked, Alyssa helped guide me through all the things she was going to need: pedals, helmet, shoes, pants, etc. Anyway, long story short, we got the bike (a Scott S40), we got the shoes, the gloves, the helmet, and everything else imaginable and after being expertly fitted, my wife is now having the time of her life on her new bike. Thanks Sun & Ski and JD for making it a great, easy experience and most of all thanks for caring about getting her the best bike for the money. Unlike her past bikes, thanks to almost an hour of tinkering, fitting and refitting by JD, she loves her new bike.

Thanks again JD for making it a great experience and treating us like our $1,000 bike was a Tour de France custom fitted model. I promise Sun & Ski will be our first stop for everything outdoors from now on.

I wanted to let you know what a great experiance i recently had at the nashville tn store. I had bought a scott road bike 2 weeks ago and was having some problems with my knees and also the shifting of the bike. I called in and talked to carl smith. He said he would check everything out if i could bring it in. so i dropped the bike off and called him the next day and he told me to come in with my bike shoes and he would make sure the bike was set up right. that night carl spent over an hour adjusting my seat height and riding position on on of your trainers. I know feel much more comfortable on the bike and am sure my it band problem will go away. Carl was so imformative that i decided to buy the $ 200 trainer and a $ 135 work stand for my bike. I am also bringing in my girlfriend to purchase the new womens massi when you get it. i can’t thank him enough for all the help. It goes along way in retail and i wanted to take the time to make sure he is appreciated for his work with customers.

I encourage you to do business with Sun and Ski Sports. The buying experience was easy and delivery was fast – I would rate the service as a 5 out of 5. An organization’s true customer service shows up when you have a problem with a product. These guys are amazing. I had a bicycle helmet defect within a month. They said, “No problem.” I ordered a new upgraded helmet but guess what, it did not fit. John in the returns department went down to the bicycle experts to research best options and help me decide what would be the superior replacement – now I rate that as a 10 out of 5 – customer service way beyond expectation.

Yesterday i had the occasion to be in your store as i was in the market for ski boots. I am an intermediate skier and have been renting boots for some time. Since i know the importance of a proper fit, I was not looking forward to the buying experience as i am usually skeptical of some sales peoples knowledge. While looking at your products in the Westheimer store, i talked with “Bob”. I asked him if he knew much about fitting people for ski boots and he told me that he “fitted a guy yesterday and that from that one experience he felt that he could possibly get me in a pair of boots”.

That started a process where “Bob” patiently explained the finer details of a proper fit (due to my unique bone/medical history/etc) and what i needed in a pair of properly fit ski boots. After this process, which took over an hour, we agreed on a pair of boots. After i had made the decision that i would be buying those boots, I finally asked Bob “how much did i spend on the boots?” After the way i was treated, and shown what i needed for a proper fit, price was my last consideration. I could have not been more satisfied with the way that i was treated and the product that i bought. I am also in the customer service business and only wish that my employees gave the same great service as Bob Lumbard. Bob Lumbard is truly a great representative to your company.

I was in your store on Sunday looking for things to go on my bike. One of your employees was on top of making sure I found what I was looking for. He took his time to help and didn’t make me feel rushed when making my decisions. I purchased a bike rack and a few other items. The employee knew that I wasn’t sure how to put the rack on my truck, so he volunteered to show me and if it weren’t for that, I would’ve never figured it out! I was very impressed. He even gave me his card and told me if I forget how to take the rack off or put it back on, I could call. It is hard these days to receive good service. I went into the store hoping to find some accessories to my Camelpak hydration system. I had seen what I was hoping for on line and was just hoping to find it in the store.

I walked in and easily found the display and walked back there to look for a tube for my hydration system. I was assisted by a sales clerk Michael who was great. He listened to what I needed and he helped me find something even better. I really didn’t need to buy a complete hydration system, instead he showed me one of the directional replacement tube for my system which works great. He was polite and courteous, listening to what I had to say which is almost a lost art when it comes to customer service with sales personnel.

The only downside to my visit was the fact that they did not have some of the Ergon GC series bicycle grips. Now Michael was willing to try and order them for me but I needed these for the next day so ordering them would not have fit my schedule. However, my not finding these didn’t matter much because of Michael’s pleasant attitude.

I went up to the register and was in a good mood thanks to the super customer service I received. It allowed me to relax and look around and in looking around I was able to see some women’s bicycle shorts on sale. So I walked over and saw that they were on sale.

Once I reached the register with my directional hose and bicycle shorts, I was greeted by a very nice cashier. Unfortunately I did not remember her name but if it helps she was running the register close to the noon hour on the above mentioned date. Her attitude was pleasant and she was very personable which let me know that I had selected the right store to shop in. She advised me of the sale on the bicycle shorts which made me happy and then she let me know about my tube also being discounted because of the bike tent sale.

I hadn’t planned on spending very much in the store but after the pleasant experience with her and Michael, I will be a repeat customer and will highly recommend your store and its chain stores to family, friends and co-workers.

I did want to also let you know that the other sales clerks were also very kind and helpful to the other customers in the store. I saw the same dedication in them that I experienced with Michael and the cashier. Because of this I plan to do my shopping for bicycle accessories at Sun & Ski first and will be shopping there again to take further advantage of the bike sale.

Thank you to that store personnel and to Sun & Ski Sports for making my day a little bit more pleasant. Yes I can actually say that even the paying part of shopping was pleasant with the savings to my pocket. So keep up the good work.

I made my first purchase with your online store earlier today, and I called customer service after having a problem using an online coupon. I can honestly say that it was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I spoke on the phone with Nacho, who might be the best customer service rep I’ve ever had! He was incredibly helpful and understanding throughout the entire conversation.

After explaining my problem, he realized it might be a website error and went out of his way to contact the webmaster for a solution. When they determined that I was unable to use the coupon due to a computer glitch, Nacho helped me complete the entire order over the phone so I could apply the coupon. It was really great to be able to speak with someone who was conscientious, knowledgeable, and friendly during a stressful situation.

It’s reassuring to know that even if a problem occurs I’ll be able to count on great customer support, and I will definitely shop with you in the near future!

The Bike Team at the Champions location in Houston, Texas is amazing. They provide excellent customer service and top-notch advice and repairs.

But today they outdid themselves. I woke up early to go biking at a nearby trail that was recently flooded and damaged by storms. To my surprise, I saw members of the Sun and Ski bike shop carrying shovels, rakes, saws, leaf blowers and other miscellaneous tools. The trails in northwest Houston are in top shape because the Sun and Ski bike team’s work behind the scenes.

I wish more people in Houston knew how dedicated the employees at Sun and Ski are. Forget Bike Barn, David’s Cycles, etc. Sun and Ski has earned a special place in the community.

I wanted to thank you for helping me with an online order.

I searched for the best price for a Gregory Baltoro 70 backpack, and your store had it on sale with free shipping (within the lower 48). I live in Alaska, however, and the shipping prices can vary widely depending on who you use.

I called your customer service line and spoke with a woman who was very kind and offered to go out of her way to physically take it from the store and send it through the USPS (always the cheapest way to AK). Although it seemed unlikely that it would arrive in time for a hiking trip I was planning, she actually got it sent out the very next morning. In addition, one of your managers agreed to honor the ‘free shipping’ offer, even though you clearly didn’t have to in this case.

I was amazed that it actually arrived at my house in 6 days, the night before I was leaving for my trip. Because of your excellent customer service, I was able to use my new pack (instead of my old, worn out one) for a 3-day, 39 mile backpacking trip through the Chugach Mountains up here a few hours from Anchorage.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. Thanks for going out of your way to help me out. Here’s a happy picture of me at the highest point in Resurrection Pass (although you can’t see much of my new backpack).

Jay was so helpful and knowlegeable, he also refit me to my bike, which I had bought at Bike Barn, but they did not fit me properly. Jay took a lot of time with me and answered my numerous questions, and I will not take my bike to anyone but him because I feel I can trust him. Sun and Ski should be proud to have an employee who has such wonderful customer service, and who goes out of his way to make a fearful rider (me) feel safer and more comfortable on their bike.

This week I purchased a pair of new ski boots from the Houston store on Wertheimer. The person at the store was Bob Lumbard who helped me. I figured he was going to be a traditional sales rep. Bob blew me away with his anatomy class on the foot and all that he knew about feet and how they should fit into a ski boot. This guy could be one of your most valuable employees for he knows his stuff on Skiing, what you sell for skiing and especially what one might need in a boot and how to make it fit perfectly.

Please give Bob a pat on the back and an MVP award or something. He was a game changer for me.

I take customer care very seriously. These days, you want to do your best to retain and make new customers whenever possible. Steven, the manager at the time, and Michael, the bike mechanic, were both courteous and knowledgeable. They also put up with my regular calls inquiring about the bike.

I just wanted to drop you a short note of thanks for the excellent customer service I have received in the past and most recently last weekend. I have purchased three bikes from Sun and Ski and each experience has been very uplifting. Andy and Kirk are very courteous and have vast amounts of product knowledge that they are always willing to share. Last weekend I was assisted by Matt Ginn in the purchase of a Yakima bike rack. He was extremely helpful even to the point of assembling and assisting me to attach it to the trailer receiver. I ride with a group of guys and we all trade stories about where we have bought our bikes and equipment. No one can match my experiences so far.


  1. Sun and Ski, Katy Mills, Katy, Tx has in my opinion some the best and customer friendly staff. They arevery patient with your product questions and is willing to work with you without time limitations to find the best for you. I am a beginner into road bikes. I did not buy the bike from this store but have been buying all of the accessories,fitting, etc from here. Had a fall and ripped out my ratchet strap on the bike shoes within 2 weeksofbuying. Exchange was exactly 2 min as the store manager understood my problem and exchanged it right away. The guys at the bike shop are incredible and knowledgeable. Will be shopping here for as a regular from now.

  2. I really appreciate Sun and Ski. I called the Grapevine office to ask of the largest sizes in ski pants. I was advised the largest size was not my size. I was told I should call the 800 number they should have my size and be able to expedite the shipment for a fee. I was desperate! I called and was able to order the largest size in the catalog. I had the pants shipped to my family’s house in Colorado, which they arrived before I did. I cannot express my gratitude better, as Sun and Ski was the only place which even tried to save my vacation. Thank you so very much for helping make my trip wonderful.

  3. Your CEO is quoted on your website saying Sun and Ski Sports staff “know what they are talking about and enjoy sharing it.” I certainly have found that to be true at the location in Frisco, Texas. I have been very impressed.

    In early summer I was preparing for a snow ski trip to Chile and wanted new skis and boots. What a blessing to meet Mark who answered my many many questions and coached me in the right direction. Although I have been skiing over 30 years I learned a lot from him as he helped me navigate the decision process. He was so available and committed to making sure I was satisfied.

    Yesterday I returned to Sun & Ski in Frisco to buy a ski jacket. In my job as a CFO I’m a quick decision maker, but when it comes to skiing I’m very particular and it took me two hours to consider the pros and cons of 5 jackets. Once again I was totally impressed with the customer service, this time from Bob. Bob showed me the features and helped me discern the pros and cons of the jackets until I made a selection. It was great!

    It is unusual for me to submit customer feedback like this, but your staff has been so impressive I was compelled to congratulate your Company. Please reward or acknowledge that Frisco staff of yours!

  5. I recently visited the store location at Grapevine Mills Outlet Mall. I have never been to this retail store before and was very impressed with the customer service. I was inquiring about the shoes for spinning or cycling. Evan a store associate set up a bike so that I may try clicking the shoes in. I was very impressed with how he handled my concerns and found solutions. I don’t usually take time to submit these sorts of comments but I wanted to let you know that Evan is an asset to your company and I will be returning.

    I bought a Scott MTB & Masi road bike their
    and after a year of owning these bikes I want other customers to know how top notch the service after sale is. The upscale bikes require a lot of special adjustments which make the ride quality improve and Mike knows how to keep these steeds ready to compete. Thanks to Nate also.
    Gearheads should look at this shop when choosing a quality a new bike & shop. Keep up the good work.

I purchased a pair of Elan Magfire 74 skis and Tecnica Pheonix 90 boots at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, TX (Jan 2011) and wanted to say “thanks” to the individual that made my recent ski trip to Durango, CO a success. His name is “Mauricio”and he was fantastic in offering his assistance in the fitting process. One of his colleagues had recommended a smaller boot in his absence and after determining the boot was to small, Mauricio asked that I return to the store for an exchange to the boot he had recommended and that truly made the difference in the trip. Upon my return, I called Mauricio to let him know that the boots fit – perfectly and just wanted to let him know how much I appreciated his help.   10. Just wanted to say thank you to Darrin the bike tech at the Sun & Ski store in Austin Tx. I had bought a new bike from the Houston store recently and kept getting flats, and was also having problems with my gear shifters, brakes were also a problem with this bike the lower rear frame was also bent. Darrin took one look at this bike and fixed everything that was wrong with it. He stated that there was no way that he would let me leave the store with the bike in that condition. My wife and I really appreciate the work he did to fix the bike. My wife says that she can tell the difference with the brakes and how the gears shift ! Thanks Darrin !

  11. I purchased a mountain bike from sun and ski Arlington. David in the bike department is very knowledgeable and has been most helpful through my purchase.. Since my purchase a month and a half ago, I broke 2 chains, bent a cassette, and blew a fork seal. David has worked close with the companies that manufactured the components and ensured that what could be was covered under warranty. I have used several bike shops in the DFW area, and David is one of the most knowledgeable bike mechanics that I have found. He has really gone the extra mile.

  12. I just wanted to take the time to say thanks to the entire staff at the Norman, OK Sun and Ski store. Everytime I walk in I am treated friendly and prompt. Its the only place I can remember that treats you like a rock star while you are there and as you leave you have a good buying experience.

I ordered a scott speedster s50 from them last year and i have had nothing short of amazing service from manager Jesse Mole and his staff in the bike shop. Always willing to help at the drop of a hat and do anything it takes to address any concers or questions i might have. I love my Bike and my bike shop. Keep up the amazing work. You could tell from her voice that she wasn’t there just because it was a job but that she had pride in her job and the company she worked for.   17. I had a great experience at the Sun Ski and Sport in Arlington, TX. Today was my first time visiting the store. I was helped by Heather Salvaggio. She was so knowledgeable about the shoes I was interested in buying for my daughter, and it really impressed me. I had just wanted to rush in and out, but i was enjoying her presentation so much, that I just decided to stick around. My time was well spent! Even my daughter felt like Heather really cared about her well being. THank you so much Heather, and keep up the good work! 🙂

  18. Just a note to let you know I enjoyed the shopping experience with the store on line. I got the order in record time and that was a surprise. I ordered the Five Fingers Flow for women and love the shoes, but they are not as easy to put on as the same style I bought a year ago. These are higher up on my foot and harder to put on. The others were lower toward the toes like a Mary Jane style sort of and these come up to just the whole top of my foot. Love them except the others were more comfortable and easier to get on. I used the others a year in my water excersie classes which I teach 2 days a week and have a class of from 10 -20 . Everyone envys my shoes and I try to tell them how wonderful they are in the water or for walking. I don’t run but I am sure they would be good for that too. I would give you a 10 on everything except the style change. If there is another style by the same name let me know and I will order again and get that style again. Margaret

  19. We were inside your store at Grapevine Mills Mall today for about three hours shopping for an upcoming ski trip. Your salesperson, Mauricio Pena, was beyond helpful as we had never been skiing and knew absolutely nothing about the proper clothing, boots, etc needed for such a trip. Mauricio was so knowledgeable and patient with us as we traveled from department to department. I certainly hope your salespeople are on commission. If not, Mauricio deserves a raise! We’ve never experienced such great customer service. We’ll definitely be back but not before calling to make sure he’s working. Thanks Mauricio.

  20. I had a very nice experience at your new store in Woburn, Massachusetts. This morning I called the store as I needed the bindings adjusted on my daughter’s ski to fit the new boots and fast as she will need them to ski on ASAP. I purchased the boots at your Pembroke, MA store in December and should have brought the skis in then, my bad. I spoke to your manager (Dick) this morning and told him my sad tale. He told me to bring them in and he would take care of it. He wasn’t kidding! I walked in to the Woburn store at 12:45 PM and walk out a happy customer at 1:15PM as Dick was more that happy to take care of the binding adjustment and test, right there. Dick, you have a grateful (new) customer.

  21. The bike manager at the Bay Area Store saved me a lot of money and trouble. Went in just after Christmas to buy a new bike. I mostly ride to and from work, am a fairly large guy, 280 and over 6ft. Was looking for a decent bike that could hold up to my size, He recommended one of the new Raleigh mountain bikes. I had purchased new SPD pedals and shoes from somewhere else, and he offered to install the cleats and pedals at no extra charge. He also switched out the tire and tubes I had on my old bike, heavy duty tubes with street tires. Was very impressed with the customer service, I work in customer service myself and look for it when I am out shopping. Had went to a couple local bike stores in area, the customer service was very poor. Sun and Ski will get all of my business in the future when it comes to bike gear.

  22. I want to compliment the staff at the Katy Mills Sun Ski & Sports. Cassandra and Adam both helped me exchange a pair of UGG boots that my daugther got as a Christmas gift. They were out of her size here in TX for a few weeks so they ordered them from a store out of state and they arrived pretty quickly. Customer service means a lot to me in this day and age, so I will shop there again!

  23. I just completed my first transaction with Sun and Ski and could not be more pleased.
    Low online prices so frequently come with little or no service that I always cringe when ordering a big-ticket item.
    When my new bike showed up, my excitement was tempered by two issues – neither of which were Sun and Ski’s direct fault, but both of which were handled quickly to my utmost satisfaction.
    Now, instead of beginning each ride on that bike lamenting my purchase, I begin with the pleasant memory of Sun and Ski’s great service. Happy instead of glum – hard to put a value on that.

    About about ago I was looking at buying a road/triathlon bike, I did research online , read magazines and visited multiple bike shops but returned to Sun and Ski because they really showed interest in helping me.
    I had a $1500 budget for the bike and gear but was opened for a larger one if need be, and thats exactly what happend thanks to the manager John he pretty much made my decision easier and set me up to come back .
    He intoduced me to Joseph , the bike repair specialist before I left who then invited to join them for a bike run on Sunday and gave me his opinion on the bikes I was looking at.
    I returned on Friday August 11, 2013 and met Bob who reassured me on my options and help me pick one along with all my gear needed , Im happy to say these guys made my shopping and experience the best. I ended up going with a full triathlon bike a fuji D6 and went over my budget by almost $1000 but with top of the line gear and bike.
    The staff at the location on 6100 Westheimer Houston Tx 77057 , 713-783-8180 and are an asset to Sun and Ski and the city of Houston, store#3 .

  27. On a whim I stopped by the store with my wife and two boys just to get a sense of snowboards for my sons. The general manager of the Woburn store (Dick) was incredibly helpful. He helped us find the right things for both boys….and for my wallet! He just won a new customer….and hopefully a few more as I just posted our experience on our town’s list serve. Great store! Great staff!

  28. Excellent customer service! I want to give a BIG shout out to Hans, Jimmy and Amy at the Dallas store (Royal and 75). After purchasing a smaller family SUV, we were in the market for a roof top cargo box. Hans and Jimmy answered ALL of my questions (and I asked a lot over the course of a week) about the Thule cargo boxes. They helped with selecting the cross rails and brackets. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the Thule products and attachments we can add-on later. Jimmy was awesome at assisting me install the cargo box on my SUV. Amy helped with all my ski glove/mitten needs as well as pull up our history to figure out the length of our skis to make sure they would fit inside the cargo box. The service and help they provided was OUTSTANDING! They were professional, courteous, friendly and genuinely wanted to help me. Thank you Hans, Jimmy and Amy – you rock!

  29. Yesterday I went searching for a road bike filled with questions. I went to the Sun and Ski Sports in a Houston off 1960 and Champion Forest Dr. The only guy in the bike department almost seemed irritated with my question and was very direct that he didn’t have any options for me. Went straight to bike barn and was so pleased with everything I heard and the bike that the rep said was geared to my level. Decided to sleep on his recommendation. Next day I happen to be next to the Sun and Ski at Memorial City Mall so I stopped in. I spent the next 2-3 hours being educated and fit for a bike by Gary. He was so understanding and knowledgable I bought a bike right then. Not only a bike, bike shorts, cell phone holder, lock, tire maintenance pack, extra tire, gloves, shoes, petals, and even a trailer hitch mounting kit for my car. There is absolutely NO way I would have spent as much as I did and have gotten everything I need and the perfect bike fitting without Gary. I wish I knew his last name but he was truly so helpful and the only reason I bought from Sun and Ski and the only reason I will go back.

  31. Kudos to management Sun & Ski Norman, OK! I have never gone into a store and had the general manager introduce himself and have never know of it either. That fact that he cares about his store, employees and customer concerns to be in the midst and not behind he scenes is great for all concerned. And the salesman that helped me was very knowledgable, friendly, and helpful and not hovering and pressuring which makes the whole shopping experience comfortable. Their prices are a little higher than I would like to pay but knowing what I’m walking out with and the quality of the products is worth that little extra. I will definitely be going back, have another bike to buy as soon as I can. I will definitely look forward to this purchase. Thanks for making me feel at ease and confident on my purchases.

  32. I recently visited the Arlington, TX store to purchase my very first pair of cycling shoes. I wanted to stay within a certain budget and I was in a bit of hurry as my regularly scheduled Saturday spin class was due to start in 20 mins when I arrived at the store. While in the store I by far received some of the BEST customer service that I have received in a LONG time. I was helped by an associate named Kolton….Kolton truly took his time and helped me identify the right size shoes after trying on multiple pairs and even went the extra mile and installed my clips for me while I was in the store and at no extra cost…he did this all with a smile and in enough time so that I arrived to my spin class on time =) I have heard that you can get cycling shoes online for less but I was willing to pay a bit more to ensure I had the right size and for that level of customer service. I will be returning when its time to get a new pair of shoes or other accessories. Thanks again Kolton for all your help you truly made my DAY!!

Not only did he find and fix the problem he also took the time to go over and teach me bike maintenance. He exceeded all my expectations of customer service.   34. On March 25, 2014 I visited your Champions Sun&Ski location (5503 FM 1960 W).
    I was planning for a ski trip, and had very little extra cash for ski-wear.
    I could not afford any of the fancy ski pants – so I checked out with a pair of thick cushion sox only. UPC: 036383008555, ticket # 143040, by User: 2123 – Jarrel.
    I happened to mentioned to Jarrel I was a little bummed out because I could afford ski sox, and was going to wear a pair of jogging pants instead.
    Jarrel said, “let me help you, let me show you some inexpensive ski gear!”.
    He found me a pair of black ski-bibs, and searched every rack until he found the exact size I needed. (He agreed with me the mediums were a bit too snug!)
    They pants were on sale, specially priced, and I had missed them in my first go round of the store.
    I don’t Jarrel realized finding those pants for me made a HUGE difference in how my ski trip would turn out. Please be sure he knows how much I appreciated his help. He is an outstanding employee and Sun & Ski is lucky to have him!

  35. After placing my first order with Sun & Ski, I was disappointed to learn that the item I had ordered was out of stock. I was notified by both a email and a phone call. I called the customer service line to see if there was another color option I could switch to in my size. I spoke with Melissa, who was very helpful. She informed me that the item I had ordered was sold out completely, but to my surprise gave me the newer version and matched the original price I paid. What great customer service, thank you Melissa!

    My wife and I went to a nearby sports store for ski wear and were not helped and nobody knew what we needed,(first time ski trip). We drove to your Arlington store and was helped by a sales tech named Chris.

    I explained our budget and our total lack of any skiing knowledge. He stuck with us for almost an hour and we walked out with everything we needed. He did not try to aggressively upsell and he was VERY knowledgeable and forthcoming with excellent advice. In some areas we confidently went with a lower range of cost and in others he advised us to step up a notch. He was very good at his job.

    It is so refreshing to be treated well, even if we were budget shopping, and to be educated by someone that was not condescending. If we enjoy our first ski trip ever we will definitely be back to this exact store…..and hope that all of the staff is as good as the young man that assisted us !

  42. I just reserved my new uggs( w.bailey button) in black and l love it. I orderef a size six and its perfect. I would normally wear a size six and a half. But you guys suggested to order a size smaller, because the uggs scratches. I love it. To bad its snowing tomorrow.

  43. I just want to say THANK YOU to David at the Grapevine location. He ALWAYS goes over and above and the extra mile to accommodate his customers.

    My young son took in his Go Pro arm because it wasn’t working properly. David could have easily just made us return the item (which was no longer in stock and we would have had to hassle with GoPro for a return) BUT instead, he took the product in the back and made a few adjustments and FIXED IT! Was not his job, but he ALWAYS has done more than what it takes to manage that store and provide excellent customer service.

    There are more stories over the past 10 years that he has helped my family with purchases, returns, and exchanges.
